ProfBloom for Zoom

Last updated: 14 October 2026

ProfBloom's Zoom integration automatically creates, in your own Zoom account, one permanent video link per student or per group. The link is added to every lesson: you and your student find it in ProfBloom, with nothing to copy by hand.

What you need

  • A ProfBloom teacher account.
  • A Zoom account. A free account is enough.

Adding the integration

  1. Sign in to ProfBloom and open Settings, Preferences, Integrations.
  2. On the “Zoom video call links” row, click “Connect”.
  3. Sign in to Zoom if needed, review the requested permissions, then click “Allow”.
  4. You are returned to ProfBloom: the Zoom row shows “Enabled”.
  5. Below the integrations, under “Video link creation”, choose Zoom.

If authorisation fails, see “Troubleshooting” below.

Using the integration

Once Zoom is chosen, there is nothing else to do: the link is created when a video lesson is scheduled.

  • First lesson with a student or a group: ProfBloom creates a permanent meeting in your Zoom account, named after the student's first name or the group's name.
  • Following lessons: the same link is reused. Your student always keeps the same address.
  • The link appears on the lesson in ProfBloom, in the student's space, and in your calendar event if you connected a calendar (description and location).
  • An in-person or phone lesson gets no link.
  • If you pasted your own link on a student's or group's record, that link is used and no meeting is created.
  • Choosing Zoom applies to new lessons. Lessons already scheduled keep their link.
  • If you delete a meeting in Zoom, ProfBloom creates a new one at the next lesson.

Requested permissions

ProfBloom only requests what is needed to create the links.

  • Create meetings in your account: to create the permanent meeting of a student or a group.
  • View a meeting in your account: to check that a meeting created by ProfBloom still exists before reusing its link.
  • View your Zoom profile: to identify the connected account.

ProfBloom never accesses meeting content, recordings or participant lists. Only the meeting name (the student's first name or the group's name) is sent to Zoom. See our privacy policy for details.

Removing the integration

There are two ways to do it.

  • From ProfBloom: Settings, Preferences, Integrations, click “Disconnect” on the Zoom row, then confirm.
  • From Zoom: sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace, open “Manage”, then “Added Apps”, and click “Remove” next to ProfBloom.

What happens next

  • ProfBloom no longer creates Zoom links. Link creation goes back to Google Meet.
  • Lessons already scheduled keep their Zoom link, which keeps working.
  • The meetings created stay in your Zoom account, where you can delete them.

Your data after removal

  • The access tokens for your Zoom account are deleted from ProfBloom.
  • Links already saved on your lessons and records remain visible until you remove them. They are erased with your ProfBloom account if you delete it.
  • To request the erasure of any Zoom-related data, write to support.

Troubleshooting

The Zoom row shows “Disconnected”

Zoom refused ProfBloom's access, for example after the app was removed from Zoom. Click “Reconnect Zoom”. Until then, your lessons are created without a link.

A lesson was created without a link

Check that Zoom is chosen under “Video link creation”, that the lesson's rate is not in-person or phone, and that the Zoom row shows “Enabled”. You can always paste a link by hand on the student's record.

Zoom shows an error when authorising

Start again from ProfBloom by clicking “Connect”, making sure you are signed in to the right Zoom account. If the error persists, write to support with the message shown.
